Having a family member who gambles through the night til the sunrise means comps and free food. We frequent here because other dining place in Gold Coast Hotel sucks so bad and Ping Pang Pong is the only decent place besides Noodle Exchange (their beef combination noodle is yummers! but that's besides the point).
SERVICE
Service is terrible. Servers here are slower than a turtle. However, I do want to talk about their cleaning guys (two brothers). They clean dirty dishes and wipe tables like there's no tomorrow. Holy moly. They could easily win 1st place at table cleaning contest if there's such thing. It's worth watching them while your servers takes her sweet time getting your orders.
FOOD
Some of my favorites that I get every time:
Sea Bass Hot Pot ($19.95)- it's one of their secret menu. Mainly tofu and fried sea bass with lots of garlic. Little bit pricey but worth it. Yum yum.
Walnut Prawns ($13.95)- fried shrimp with sesame mayonnaise and honey-glazed walnuts. It's the ultimate fatty dish with lots of cholesterol but it's so dang good.
Tea Smoked Duck ($16.95)- roasted duck in a wrap with boison sauce on the side. I can eat this everyday!
Chicken with Black Bean Sauce ($9.95)- goes well with a bowl of white rice
Shanghai Noodles ($7.95)- stir-fried Napa cabbage, mushrooms, spinach and pork
Singapore Rice Noodles ($9.95)- noodles with light curry flavor.
Garlic Bok Choy- Always ask for extra garlic!
Last but most definitely not least, thier mango pudding. Comes with creamer on the side. They make fresh mango pudding here and it is the most flavorful and refreshing dessert. My family of 3 always order about 10 of these LOL
*dim sum here is alright. Much rather go to other places.
CONCLUSION
Their service sucks but delicious food makes up for it.
