This is the second time my husband and I have stayed at the Delano. The first stay we had was when it was called THE Hotel at Mandalay and were extremely happy with our room.
This time around we booked our room, as well as our friends' room, both as a panoramic view type of room. I've never been so disappointed. Our room was on the 3rd floor which was just above the spa. We had no good view. All we saw was the top of the spa rooftop and steam from their services as well as a ladder in our view near our window. For this room supposedly having a panoramic view, I was greatly unhappy with this for the money we paid. The toilets also had no flushing power causing you to have to flush several times. After we checked in and saw our "view" my husband went back to the front desk and asked if we could switch rooms because we were unhappy. The clerk said that since check out time was just beginning for previous guests that we needed to check back a little later. When we did in fact check back we were told that the hotel was booked to capacity and that we were unable to switch our rooms. This was one of the busiest weekends and now it was impossible for us to switch to a different room or hotel. This room should not be given to anyone wishing to have a panoramic view. This has forever changed where I will now decide to stay for my future visits to Las Vegas.
