| - As far as hotels go in the uptown Charlotte area, this seems to be one of the better ones for the money. It's in a decent location, very central and close to everything.
Free breakfast, free Wi-Fi, and a mini bar and small coffee shop at the lobby desk. The lobby is on the 10th floor, which is not as weird as that sounds. You walk into the building you get onto the elevator and you press the button that says L, just like any other hotel, but people seem to really get wrapped around the axle on this one!
The room had a nice layout, with a couch, a desk, a dresser and armoire combo, and satellite TV. The couch wasn't overly comfortable, but at least it offered some relaxing space without having to sit on the bed.
The bathroom is decent sized and nice.
There are great amenities at this place. Natalie can you get espressos and lattes at the front desk, they also have lots of different items to purchase. They have a rooftop bar which I did not use. They have a fitness room that has multiple cardio machines and some dumbbells.
The parking costs $20 for valet. You can spend eight dollars for every 12 hours on one of the nearby surface lots, but I don't think that's worth it. I would rather have my car in the garage out of the sun and away from the cold.
The staff is friendly.
