Hands down the worst checkin experience ever just now. No staff available to help. Self checkin systems do not work. Rooms are renovated but with none of the amenities of other Vegas hotels. Stay away - substandard. We are considering rebooking at Venetian.
Adding a bit more - their guest services is seriously understaffed. The number of issues from the non-functional checkin system has a huge line of people waiting to resolve problems. Can't see how MGM thinks this will save money.
Complementary earplugs to help deal with construction noise. This is an indication they shouldn't be open.
We did ask for a proper desk chair. They guest services staff was gracious enough to find one and had it delivered to the room. It's not a desk chair - it's a cheap convention center straight back chair. Not what they used to have.
Decor is dark and uninviting. Very sterile. Very impersonal, and casino area is definitely smaller.
Again - stay away. This may be one of the worst experiences on the strip.
And work on your PMS and guest checkin software. My gosh - whoever designed that checkin system needs to be fired. It's truly awful, non-intuitive, and caused the first kiosk to freeze so that we had to move to a new one. Neither system read or ID, and we're fumbling around trying to find confirmation codes in an old email just to get a room key. Once again - NO STAFF to help.
