This place oozes romance and ambiance!!! I'd give 4.5 stars if possible. Only taking half a star due to issues with the pillows, feather pillows that smelled gross, very large but flatten and not very comfortable. We just stayed here for our anniversary and by no fault of the resort, we were given a room with two double beds instead of a King (we booked through a 3rd party). Unfortunately, all of the King rooms were sold out. However, what a surprise to have a knock at our door with a bottle of champagne and an anniversary plate of chocolate covered strawberries! This was such a thoughtful and nice touch, really made our stay that more enjoyable. The grounds were absolutely lush, tranquil and magical. Just gorgeous and full of history and romance. Definitely a place for romance. All of the meandering pathways are so fun and beautiful to stroll. Of note, all of the casita rooms are currently undergoing renovation. I know that Hyatt now owns this resort. A sign had a picture of the "finished product" and I was underwhelmed with the appearance for an upgrade. I truly hope that Hyatt respects and maintains the beauty of this historical property and not create "cookie cutter" modern rooms that lack the charm and ambiance of such a unique property. That being said, this place is magical and I look forward to staying again in the future. Thank you for the wonderful memories Royal Palms!
