I have lived at The Pointe for 9 months now, and have little but glowing reviews to provide. Since Cortland took over, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Even those that are "learning" go out of their way to make sure that any concern is handled promptly and effectively. Maintenance response is quick and thorough. Though the delayed renovations (pool, lounge, gym...to name a few) have been particularly frustrating, my overall experience has been very pleasant. I have to give a shout out to Anthony, who is easily the kindest, most helpful, and most magnetic member of any complex I've encountered. He outperforms the role of providing resident "assistance" at every level.
TL;DR - Expect to practice patience with complex improvements and renovations. However, the staff and amenities will remind you daily why you love living at The Pointe.
