| - I'm writing because of what happened to me by Dr Death-u-towski (Dekutoski)at the CORE. I met him and we were scheduling my L4 addition. He asked for my paperwork from my back surgery in Seattle by the best. My mother went with me to every appt and I warned him very strongly every time we met that he couldn't cut me in the front, right, abdomen.(don't understand why he didn't just go in next to the 8" scar already there from my Seattle surgery where they put in L5-S1). The day of the surgery I was very apprehensive and I was telling the nurses, anesthesiologist, and Dr Death-u-towski, AGAIN, not to cut on the right side abdomen due to the Seattle surgery where they took out a piece of my hip, which causes scar tissue. He insisted that he go thru the front (i think he was trying to write a paper, wanted to be the big guy). As they took me into the surgical room and got me all strapped down, I stopped the whole team and told them I had something to say, "Please do not cut me on the right side of my abdomen, I have a lot of scar tissue there and it would be very bad". I said "OK I'm done". They put me to sleep and from the surgical notes, within minutes he cut open my right side, and then he says he needed more room so he cut deeper and my arteries and veins were tangled up in that (warned)scar tissue. With that slice, blood was shooting all over the walls and ceiling. They rushed outside to grab Dr Yee (vascular surgeon) who came in and told Dr Death to pull out wadding and when he did, it started blowing blood again all over. Dr Karreuche (sp?), from the other surgical room came in and coded me. .Dr Yee spent hours trying to put me back together and stop the artery blood spurting all over. I died! I went thru 10 pints of blood & 2 other fluids I don't know what they were. Dr Death came out and lied to my parents and told them that "there was a little hick-up but she is OK, in recovery, and they would be able to see me in my room soon". They had no idea that my room would be in ICU. 2 days later my right leg and foot were swollen 3 times their size. The artery didn't quite get closed off all the way so my leg and foot were filled with blood clots, so I had to go back into an emergency surgery to clean out the clots. Dr Yee got the clots out of the top of my leg but didn't want to open up the lower part of the leg. Are you kidding me, I was already cut from hip to hip by pubic bone, from there, up and around the belly button, and stopped under my left breast. Cut me open like a deer. I woke up on Saturday after the second surgery, but I didn't know what was going on or where I was. The head ICU nurse that night was one bitch of a Russian nurse. She got fired for how she treated me and was made to come apologize to me but just tried to make me feel sorry for her because she had to watch me earlier. OMG! I was in ICU from the 7th to the 15th of Nov. While I was getting more awake I found out my right leg and foot were completely paralyzed. So I was suddenly forced to use a wheelchair, and my bladder didn't work right because it was cut too, so I've been forced to wear diapers for life, Coumadin for life and a lifetime of Clinic trips for Coumadin. On the 15th the transport came to take me to rehab to see if I could learn to walk again. Yes I can now but with a walker. Rehab was another hell hole. I got to my parents house on Thanksgiving day, but didn't get back to my apt for 2 months. My life is trashed, I'm a shut-in and Dr Death has his happy little life. I couldn't find an attorney to take the case, so no redemption there. I called the Bar Association but was told that they don't give out information about what they do or if they do anything to them. So the victim gets nothing!! But a life of Drs appts, walkers, pills and problems. Dr Death-u-towski split with no follow-up and gave me NO EXPLANATION!! Dr Yee was with me everyday as well as my senior parents. Dr Yee was also my Dr till I didn't need help from him anymore. Dr Death-u-towski told me that he wouldn't do the surgery at Banner Del Webb hospital because they didn't have people good enough and not the right equipment even tho THE CORE has a whole floor there. He was actually banned from surgery there. Long after my thing he got banned from Banner Boswell, I was told.(where my surgery was). I've since heard there are some hospitals in Phoenix he can't work at either. I don't care, I just want everyone to know to STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM DR DEKUTOSKI, if you like your life.
