I am glad I gave it a second chance since the first time I found it to be mediocre. Now I am a regular.
The first time I ordered the shrimp & vegetables and the xiao long bao. I was disappointed in the Xiao Long Bao, but once you've been to Din Tai Fung it's hard to find some as delicious. It tasted bland and did not contain much soup inside. However, I tried it again more recently and they were delicious! It most likely just depends who is doing the cooking that day.
The Szechuan Spicy Beef (#50) is fantastic! Not super spicy but very flavorful. I also think the chicken version (Szechuan Spicy Chicken) is just as good.
Service Experience: They've improved. The booths have buttons you can press if you need the servers to come to your table. Very quick and nice. Sometimes I think maybe a little too quick though. I would like a little more time to look at the menu before they come and ask for my order.
