My experience here started out well. I asked for a few cheeses and was given a sample of each to try before I bought. Then I asked how their Brie de Meaux was. The owner stepped in and told me it was on special. I asked how it was. Before I could say anything else, he wrapped up a piece and I went on my way. When I got home, I realized the cheese was past its expiry date by at least a month. I mean, I have had old gross brie left over in my fridge and it has NEVER looked like the stuff I PAID MONEY for from this store. It was dark yellow in colour and REEKED of ammonia.
I can't believe that a self-respecting cheese proprietor would sell that product. And now I have one place I know to avoid in the future.
