Alright, so..I've never had a problem with joes until recently. I would come often for minor issues because I drive for work so my car has small issues every now and then. However, I was told I needed 4 new tires so without too much thought I had joes put new tires on. When my car was ready the tires didn't look new. I asked why the tires didn't look new and was told that new tires should be shiny or have grease on them because it messes with the traction. I said OK and figured I just didn't know much about cars so I went in my way. Well, almost 7 months later I had to take my car in for an oil change and they proceeded to tell me that my tires had wear on them and I needed 4 new tires ASAP! Obviously I was upset and told them these tires were from them and they weren't even a year old. He told me there must be something wrong with the suspension and took another look at my car. He said it was In fact a suspension problem that was wearing down my tires and it would cost 1500.00 to fix.
I never fixed the suspension because I was looking to sell my car soon anyway. I also never changed my tires with them. Anyway, about 4 months later I went back because my check engine light was on. They took 4 hours to look at it and explained to me that there is a fuse module that's on the passenger side of then car and it's causing my check engine light to go off because they had to replace it but they couldn't replace it that day because they don't make those fuse modules anymore and they'd have to get a replacement from the junkyard... guess what...that was also a very expensive fix. So I took it somewhere else AND GUESS WHAT! Turns out I'm an idiot and hadn't changed my oil for 7,000 miles... once my oil was changed the check engine light went off. I was also told that my suspension was fine.
All in All, I won't be going to Joes anymore. Even though they are very kind- I can't trust them.
