The food is good, no doubt. The service was lacking due to it being Easter and a very busy and packed wall to wall. However, I recently had mouth surgery and asked the hostess if it was okay if I ordered from the kid's menu since I couldn't really eat much and didn't want to waste food.
She said no problem and gave me the menu. I ordered my food from the waiter and again, no problem. Then, moments later, I was told I could not order from the kid's menu and that I need to pay full price. It was as if I was trying to cheat the system - clearly not - I've never ordered from a kid's menu in my life... not even when I was a kid!
I felt like I was going through an interrogation as I was pushing the issue from ordering from the kid's menu. ("Who told you it was okay?" "What did they look like?" "Can you point them out?")
I could have easily said 'fine' and just ordered from the normal menu, but it was the principle. A few minutes later the hostess came over and profusely apologized as if she got reprimanded and told me that "just this one time it was okay." I said the as fine as I don't plan to have routine mouth surgery and them dine out - but it was Easter so I met my family on my lunch from work.
Again, good food, but this was poorly handled and a little embarrassing.
