  • I wish I would have checked reviews before I brought my puppy to Banfield. I could write paragraphs on how horrible my experience has been, but I'll chalk up the last year of "wellness plan" at Banfield in a few bullet points. * There are many hidden fees. The wellness plan for puppies is $35/month for the first year. I was not told medications & simple procedures like anal glands would cost extra. Every single visit, I paid something between $20-$150 extra. * My dogs spay was done very crudely. Her wound was stitched up all jagged and lumped, and they made me pay extra for ointment to put on it after they saw how bad it looked. It took her over a month to recover. * My last straw is when my dog got attacked by another dog, I rushed her in. The vet was very impatient with me. Since my dog had just been attacked she was super on-edge. The vet YELLED my dog's name when she wouldn't turn around for him to look at the bite on her leg. He took her back and looked at her for less than a minute before bringing her back and prescribing me cleaning wipes and ointment... He didn't clean her wounds at all. I asked if he would express her anal glands while I was there, and he said she didn't need to (she definitely needed to, I expressed them myself when I got home...). This horrible visit cost me $90 on my wellness plan which has "unlimited free visits." This past year with Banfield has been HORRIBLE and I would not recommend anyone trust these people with their animals. I don't understand why people who clearly care so little for animals would be in this industry, and the company as a whole has scammy business tactics.
