The first haircut I and my 10 year old was exceptional. I was very pleased with the time taken on the cut and the skill displayed. A few weeks later my wife brought my 10 year old back for another haircut. The entire time they were in the barbershop explicit rap/hip hop music played over the speakers. My wife told the barber afterward that although they do a great job cutting hair, the shop is not kid friendly with the type of music they play. The barber nodded and said he completely understood. A week or so later I decided to give the barbershop another try and brought my 7 year old son to get his haircut, as well as myself. I had a 3pm appointment I was on time for. I waited 30 minutes before leaving. What is the point of making appointments if they aren't going to be honored?! Huge waste of time. The entire time I sat there it was surprising to me that no one working had enough common sense to change the explicit rap music (f-Word, n-Word) playing with a young child present. I got asked two different times when my appointment was, as if no one knew - despite me setting up the appointment over the phone. If this barbershop is interested in appealing to a certain client demographic that's cool with explicit music playing in the background while they get a cut, so be it. As for me I've got zero interest in returning to a place that consistently plays such music, is not kid friendly, and wastes my time...sorry.
