| - My family checked out this place this past weekend and for the most part enjoyed our meal. Our waiter was friendly, and quickly took our orders. Just a few notes:
The BBQ Queso was so-so - there was nothing special about a bowl of tortilla chips and a bowl of melted cheese with a clump of BBQ in the middle of it. I guess I wasn't sure what the expect, but it still seemed very basic.
As for the main meals, my son got a burger and wanted American cheese, but the waiter said they did not have any. As in, ever. And yet the menu clearly stated American cheese was used. Despite this, my son just got a plain hamburger and ate the whole thing, so he had no complaints.
My daughter got Carolina BBQ with a side of baked beans. She liked the BBQ but not the beans - she didn't really say why.
My husband got burnt ends and loved them, but said the mac & cheese was pretty pedestrian.
I got a sauced half-rack of Memphis ribs with sweet potato fries. The fries were good, but the ribs were VERY salty. It was almost as if they brined the ribs before they put them on the fire. They were that salty. I ended up drinking 3-4 huge cups of water (their cups are about 26-28 fl oz) to compensate.
Would we go here again? Probably not. The prices were reasonable, and the space was decent (GREAT music playing over the speakers), but the food wasn't very "wow" for us.
