  • Since my first visit, which was for dinner, I have been here a few more times. I definitely think this is better as a post-work drinks place or late night place, rather than for food (the food is good, but overpriced IMO). Happy Hour here makes for a good pick me up in the middle of the week. Came here on a Tuesday ~6:30pm and there was lots of seating (2nd floor was closed, but the owner was chillin' out on one of the sofas and offered to open it up for my friend and I, but we declined). Lots of guys in suits standing around the bar, but if you sit down there are servers that will come to your table. We found a cozy nook and the service was a bit slow, but we didn't mind. I recommend the perestroika martini ($6), which is vodka and white cranberry juice and something else. Potent and refreshing, it comes with blackberries. There are also bowls of wasabi peas on each table, and they brought out appetizers for free -- avocado/crab cakes served on top of a flaky pastry-cracker thing. Delish! For our 2nd round, it was actually past 7pm (technically, happy hour is 5-7pm) but they let us pay the happy hour price anyways. As for the late night scene, it's fun if you're looking for somewhere to go dancing after dinner in the area. Because it's not in clubland, the crowd is generally less douche-y and there is no cover charge. Bouncers are usually pretty decent as well. They have a DJ as well as a guy on saxophone who accompanies (it reminded me of the Elite event at Harlem... with the guy on the flute I think, playing regulate?). Lots of cozy private seating areas, but those are just for people getting bottles. The rest of the bar area upstairs gets pretty crowded.
