The massage itself was fabulous. The woman seemed very motivated to do well. My friends masseuse next to me wasn't so sharp though or accommodating. But the reason for the 1 star is the interaction BEFORE and AFTER the massage. When we got there the woman at the front desk was not welcoming or friendly at all. My friend and I got the 90 minute $35 massage. So we both decided to give above 20% and give them each $10. Sure I thought that was extremely cheap and really did wonder how much they get paid......but hey, that's the price they charge and American standard tipping practice. So I thought they would be thrilled. Nope. We handed it to them and they followed us up to the front. My friend went to the restroom. The woman Goon behind the front desk asked us if we were very happy and I said yes! It was great!! So she pointed to the sign that I hadn't noticed earlier that gave recommended tips. She said "you tip more. You very happy!" (Said with a Chinese accent) I was stunned. I always considered myself a good tipper. I told them that I tipped based on price but I hadn't seen that sign. I pulled out another $10, because $20 was recommended for a $35 massage. My friends person waited and I ended up giving her the $10 more just to get her out of my face. So basically I felt bullied into tipping more than 50% of the price! Now if they had pointed out the sign before our service that would have made a big difference. Or put it in their advertisement. I'm lucky I had extra cash! After we left I just got a weird feeling about the whole thing. Even though $55 for a 90 minute massage that included tip is incredible, after reading all these recent reviews I've decided not to go back. They must treat their employees like slave labor and only let them keep tips. Something just doesn't feel right. Too bad. There was potential.
