The first time I came here I had a pretty mediocre experience with the unmotivated servers and awkward staring. However Laduree has definitely improved their customer service. Both the server who got macarons and the cashier were great. Unlike the first time, they acknowledged me right away and were super polite.
The macaron pricing and flavours have not seemed to change since opening and the store is beautiful as always! I've read in the Toronto Star they get their macarons flown in from Switzerland. Despite not being baked fresh and served right away, Laduree has not compromised the quality of their macarons with two slightly chewy almond cookies and a creamy center. In addition, unlike many other macaron stores, the filling of these macarons are not overly sweet and taste true to their flavour. So far, my favourite has been hazelnut which tastes EXACTLY like a much less sweeter but more enjoyable Ferrero Rocher. Can complain about the pricing but because it is a higher-end patisserie, it's a treat.
