I had never done anything like this before and didn't know what to expect. We did the hostage puzzle, and there were a couple times when we had to call out for hints during it, including once when we figured the puzzle out but hadn't heard of a "compression lock" before and couldn't understand why the correct combination wouldn't open it.
Altogether it was an interesting evening and definitely a creative date idea. We wound up skipping a few puzzles accidentally and escaped in a pretty good amount of time by working smarter rather than harder.
The price of $35/person seems like a pretty ridic markup for an hour of solving a couple puzzles but from what others have said its not too bad of a deal considering what similar companies charge. If there were a Groupon, I definitely think I would be back to try out some other puzzles.
