Cheese Garden is a Japanese cafe specializing in Japanese cheesecakes. Located only a couple of minute walk away from the North York Centre. The cafe is small with limited seating, but most of the customers tend to take away.
The Uji Matcha Tiramisu is quite rich in flavour; combining matcha powder and cream cheese. The cream cheese was just right, but I did find the last bit of matcha to be quite over powering. I tend to like my desserts on the more sweeter side, that's why I found it a little bitter. However, if you like strong matcha flavour, then this is the dessert for you!
The Double Fromage Cheesecake was creamy and smooth - I loved every bite of it. It was basically a layer of frozen cheesecake on matcha baked cheesecake topped off with matcha sponge cake crumbs. It came in a rounded wooden box, which is perfect for gifting as well.
