  • The work is okay, but they pretty brazenly screwed me on cost. Dropped my car off, told me they'd call with an estimate. No problem. They called and gave me some outrageous prices, but i'm stuck in this town for the week and can't get to the shop I trust two hours away. I don't really have a choice. One repair that should be around $100 total, I was quoted $190 for parts and labor. I double-confirmed that on the first call. The second repair offered, which shouldn't be more than $300, was close to $1,000. I declined the second one. For some reason, I got a bad feeling, something wasn't right about the way this place handled itself. The guy on the phone seemed somewhat evasive and vague. I called back to double-verify the price of the first repair. Surprise, surprise, it jumped up to almost $400, and naturally, the repair would be completed in about 15 minutes. I questioned it, and got what I expected, "nah, the $190 was only for labor." I have a call recorder on my phone. If I ever deal with a chain shop again, it will be on. (Thank you, one-party state.) To top it off, they did not call and inform me when my vehicle was done. It got to be ten minutes before closing, I called them to inquire, and was told my car had been done for an hour and they "assumed I was on my way there." I don't even want to look into if they charge overnight "storage fees" for my own sanity. I will say, however, when I picked my car up, the guy I dealt with, a larger guy with a gray flat-top (I sadly don't recall his name) was extremely courteous and friendly, and explained (for the first time) in detail what they did, and what I should consider in the future. He should be the only one there dealing with customers. Stay away from this place. They probably assume everyone here is a rich kid since it's a university town (as many local businesses do here.) I pay my own tuition, and this is catastrophic for my limited finances with the fall semester coming up.
