I LIKE Taco Guild. Maybe it's that it's located in a repurposed church with a lot of the interior features intact; the bar is where the former altar would have been located, now backed by an impressive array of Tequila bottles to admire as you decide on your food. The bartenders and servers are engaging and friendly.
Admittedly, I've only ordered the Street Tacos ( categorized into "Old World" and "New World" ) on each occasion I've visited and, thus, can't speak to the rest of the menu but I have not had a bad sample yet. The Yucatan Shrimp, Guild Chicken, and Chipotle Cherry Chicken stand out. Usually there is a Taco of the Day to choose from as well, which varies. The 3 salsas provided with the tacos vary in intensity so you can choose your favorite. The basic salsa served with the chips is also pretty tasty.
The margaritas are tasty, but not really above average; just pretty damned good. I find the frozen version tastes slightly better than my usual "on the rocks, with salt" preference.
Taco Guild is a great place to hang out at the bar with a few friends, imbibe your favorite cocktail and enjoy the tacos. It's earned a place in my regular "rotation" of hangouts. Recommended.
