| - An architects wet dream. A modern man-made marvel. Sin City. Call it what you will, it's Vegas.
This is by far the most difficult review I may ever write. I've traveled out of the country and I have lived in a few different places, Vegas brought me here only for vacation and meeting a soon-to-be girlfriend's family. I've learned over my stay here that Las Vegas is NOT the place for me. It does offer some things that I am certain I wouldn't be able to find anywhere else on this planet, however, with all of that there is a hefty price to pay. Let's start off with the pros.
Pros: Vegas does offer a variety of food. Over my stay, I must say I have had some of the best food in my life, some of which includes buffets, burgers and shawarma to name a few. The sights are absolutely breathtaking. The strip lights up at night like nothing I have ever seen before. The size of everything is really quite overwhelming. The people here are hit or miss, mostly positive; however, there are still some negative people here. Although I have met some very wonderful people.
Cons: The weather, goodness gracious is it HOT. Expect for the most part year round dry heat and gusts that make it feel like a natural hair dryer (which doesn't really help). The people here are very different from anywhere else I have ever been, some of which have a definite dark cloud over their head. I see sin and greed overwhelm and consume people here and drastically change their lives, more for the worse unfortunately. Prices here for a lot of this are ridiculously marked up solely because of the location.
Overall; I've decided that Vegas isn't really for me, not to live in anyways. Vacationing on the other hand isn't bad. Vegas treated me very well for the most part, and I did enjoy the good that came out of it. I enjoyed my time with my significant other and her family. Brace for the culture shock of that what is Vegas, because let me tell you all first hand, it is a very different place from wherever you're from, do what you can to not let it consume you with its positive advocation of committing sin. In the end, seeing it all really made me value what I have back home with the people I care about, and not having to worry about being cheated on for price on basic goods. Sin City, it has been truly enterntaining; you've properly earned that name for a number of reasons and I thank you for having me.
