Basista is what I would consider a mid-range furniture store. There is nothing here that makes me blubbery with excitement from a decorating stand-point but it is all nice, decent, relatively good-quality furniture. From the outside, this store looks fairly small and unintimidating... but don't be fooled. Inside it is massive and you could end up getting lost for a long time.
I know that Basista has a long history in Ohio and is very popular with local crowds. I found the staff fairly friendly and accommodating, even after we let them know that we wouldn't be buying since we are moving out-of-state soon. The salesman who attempted to help us, Shawn, should be commended for his professionalism and the fact that he was still willing to answer questions when he knew we weren't paying customers.
A lot of the stuff here is overpriced for what it is. I'm not sure if this is one of those places where you are expected to haggle but it seems like the original ticket price is constantly being marked down. Perhaps they falsely elevate the prices to make you feel like you scored a great deal when you leave with a 'sale price'. Overall though you are getting much better quality items than you would at Value City furniture or other discount furniture stores.
It's a decent place to shop or simply get decorating ideas. I recommend it.
