  • I have been a fan for over 20 years of Kensington Market. I am in the area quite often and pop in for an Empanada, Beef Patty, Churro or just a coffee. Lot of cool stores and grocers in this area. A good vibe and a lot of amazing creative people hang in this area. Now to the bad side. I have had 2 incidents over the past year that have almost turned into a physical confrontation(Luckily I was able to avoid it as I don't like trouble) Both times the people were mentally ill and could not be reasoned with. Note sure if the people were from the Homeless shelter. Yes you heard that right there is a Homeless Shelter in Kensington where everyone hangs out front. In the past if you were in Kensington market in a suit, dirty jeans, a sari, uniform or whatever you were welcome and part of Kensington. I have noticed a shift of late and feel a little unwelcome like an outsider. If you work in Kensington..please ..no attitude..I know you are too cool for school but I am here to support you. Like my wife says "don't bite off your nose to spite your face" Used to be 5 Stars and hopefully will be again X-fingers
