| - DO NOT STAY HERE! First of all, aside from the issues I personally had here, this hotel is in a terrible location. Unlike the hotels nearby on the east side of the freeway, this one sits right across from a seedy hotel known by locals for drugs and prostitution. Cars get broken into due to it's adjacent parking lot being a mall. On the positive side, there is always a police officer sitting at the QT within (a dangerous) walking distance from the lobby. Don't be fooled by the swanky lobby. You will soon be subject to eye-rolling and hostile staff behavior, which will be defended by the general manager - as atypical of their staff despite reviews to the contrary. I walked in to check in just in time to hear the front desk person joke around about smoking weed with the person he was checking in. I was greeted by Roxanne with an eye-roll and an ambiguous hand gesture. I went to check in and had an issue with my credit card. The reservation had been made by my landlord and I wasn't aware a deposit still needed to be made on the room. I wasn't able to cover it due to a recent hospitalization (the reason my landlord was putting me up in a hotel while my a/c was being worked on). The front desk lady became incredibly rude, offering no empathy and when asked for a member of management, she told me no one was there but that I could call. She then gave me a card. Realizing I wasn't going to get anywhere with her, I went to my car and called the number on the card. She picked up and told me she was the manager. I asked for the number to corporate when she became hostile. She made a big scene (which I now realize was for her coworkers benefit) about how I was being abusive and how she was going to hang up if I continued. I said ok and I walked back to the lobby and again repeated that I wanted the corporate number. She came out from behind the counter and approached me in a hostile manner, stating I was not getting the corporate number and how none of this was her problem. Then her and her coworker told me (after I just dropped $180 on a nonrefundable hotel room) to stay at the seedy motel across the street. Did I mention all this occurred in front of my 10 year old? And for whatever reason, Roxanne felt the need to call me a cracker under her breath before asking security to escort me out. It was almost like she was trying to get a rise out of me for kicks. Next time you think about staying here, just flush $200 down the toilet. It's a much better use of the money.
