| - When I first looked at these apartments they were in the process of renovation for their new pool, fitness center and leasing office. I was happy to see that they truly cared for their property as the leasing agent showed me the "floor model" The price was cheap for the area but I was also downgraded from a 2 bedroom two bath (savings of about $300 a month). I shortly signed my lease and realized that not all of the appointments had washers and dryers in them, so I changed it immediately!! I went off of the floor plan listed on their website.
When move in day came, I was completely shocked!! My advice is to walk the whole property and tour the appointment you are actually moving into, not just the show room!! No grass or rocks, just dirt..EVERYWHERE!! I thought that maybe it was because of summer, but I found out later that wasn't the case. I opened my appointment and moved everything in. I then discovered that something was wrong. My washer and dryer were in my bedroom, it looks like they made my bedroom closer half the size and just put the washer and dryer in the bedroom. Weird?? I then reviewed the floor plan and that's not where they belong. They are supposed to be in the hallway where the water heater is and the water heater is supposed to be outside!! So I received half the closet space and had to down grade my wardrobe.
Back to the outside!!! As I mentioned this is a sand lot. There are about 4 areas (one of which is by the leasing office) that has grass/rocks. The rest is all dirt. What blows my mind is that they pay someone to come in and weed whack the dirt!! It gets better..two days later someone comes in with a leaf blower to blow the dirt right into you apartment balcony and windows. This is usually done around 7am so no biggie if you work a 9-5 and love dirt!!
Now on to repairs!! They have a very friendly online app that you can use to request repairs. Unfortunately this does not help with the communication with the office and maintenance!! Maintenance will come in to "fix" issues and promise you things but the office doesn't follow through. My in bedroom washer and dryer broke and maintenance told me I could use the public ones and they would reimburse me. That was never the case according to the office, I should have just used an empty apartment. I would have loved to do this if it was originally an option. Also the request was just for my dryer, so I should have still been able to wash my clothes and then just pay for the dryer, well maintenance accidentally disconnected my washer!!
I also feel very sorry for you if your AC goes out and your don't work a 9-5 job. They schedule appointments for repairs and call you 30 mins before they show up to let you know. Well unfortunately not everyone can drop what they are doing at work and rush home. This is apparently your fault!!
I also love all the add ons to your rent. You get charged for valet trash and trash. There is a lovely concierges fee.
Also the admenities are lovely when open. The new gym is half the size of the old one. It's also only open till 10. I'm guessing this is because after 10 the new pool becomes topless. I only know this because I went to the gym at 9:50 to make sure I was in there before the gym locked and as I'm running on the treadmill looking out at the pool I see this gentleman taking pictures of a women. She then started floating and that is when I discovered she had no top on. The old gym smells like hard core cleaning supplies. Good luck trying to breath in there!! I would take the sweaty smell over that any day!!
If you are looking for a place just to lay your head at night, I still wouldn't recommend this place!! Maybe in 2 years when they actually care, but for now you have been warned!!
