  • As the manager put it, "All for a F*cking $3.00"! Six months ago I stopped and purchased a rear driver's side tail-light for my vehicle. The young lady installing it was having difficulty so she asked another employee to assist. He insisted that she had advised me to purchase an incorrect bulb and went back in the store to get a new package returning with a different bulb and less than $3.00 change. She was instructed by him to go assist other customers inside at the counter. Upon finishing he did not check to insure that the bulb was functional. Less than 5 miles away, a woman pulls up beside me and tells me that my tail-light was out. That night I fell on the ice at work and broke my right leg in 3 places. Two days later, I called O'Reillys and spoke with Mike, 'the manager', and explained the situation. He was most kind and told me, "not to worry" since it was the male employees mistake for having taken the correct bulb away from the woman and then failing to checking to see if the one he put in was working before I left. I could return at any time and they would make it right FOR FREE. Today I returned. The gentleman at the counter told me HE was a manager and could help me. I explained the situation to him. He was short and rude from the beginning! He told me that it required a different kind of bulb than the one I had and that I needed to PAY the difference. He went inside and discussed it with another female who came out and stated that it was only $3.00. I told her that it was supposed to be FREE and why. She made him go get another bulb. Upon returning to the vehicle he was swearing, "It's a F*cking $3.00" and mumbling to himself as he completed the job. He then walked away leaving the lift gate up and once again not even checking to insure the bulb was working. My daughter had to exit the vehicle to close the rear hatch and together we checked to make sure the bulb was functioning. I hope losing my business and everyone who reads this and doesn't go there for products and services is worth "$3.00 F*cking dollars!"
