We arrived early yesterday because the film LADY BIRD was getting rave reviews (I urge you to save your $$) & this theater is a bad dream... We paid the senior rate of $9.00 & did forego the popcorn at $6.79 for small. We then discovered the seats (for that money?) do not recline & are uncomfortable besides. I quickly realized the sound had to be adjusted so went to find management. The film was to begin at 3:55 but began 25 mins. later because we sat thru 10 commercials & 5 previews (only one had hope).
So, we learned a lesson. Why not stay away from theater palaces of bad films, or even the rare good one. Because... we have a 46" t.v. & Netflix & Hulu & HBO & Ted Talks. I can make a big batch of my parmesan/garlic popcorn for 25 cents. Not see a commercial. Turn down the sound. And curl up at the fireplace with my honey, as we look at each other & simultaneously ask "Why do we even leave home?"
