Need a smog check. This is a good place to go, since the price is $9.99. If you have a coupon of a competitor they will accept it as well. Got mine done for $7.77.
I had my water pump replaced on my Tundra and when I picked it up the coolant was sprayed everywhere and they did a lousy job cleaning it up. I had to clean it up when I got home (I like a clean engine bay). Also, check your engine apron located in the tire well for this truck. Mine was ripped when I got my truck back and I had to order two new ones on each side and new clips (12 @ $4 a piece ). I asked them if they cut them to get to the serpentine belt. Chevy said no, but the cut/rip didn't seem normal. Cost for this was about $100 from the dealership. Just inspect your vehicle if you drop it off.
It's a mechanic shop, they do the work but just a little messy. Maybe I was expecting showroom quality since I work on my vehicle normally and it was cheaper to pay the $$ for the water pump install. Just didn't expect to shell out $100 to fix an unexpected issue.
Answer to the oil change offer. Thank you but like I said I do my own oil change. A better offer would be a $100 credit without an expiration date to use at your shop for any service. This would justified the issue and would come in handy if there is an issue above my car experiance.
