Having grown up in Southern California, I consider myself a bit of a pho connoisseur. I would say the broth here is pretty average - there is a satisfactory amount of beefy flavor and the ginger and onion tastes can be appreciated in the broth. However, I think the broth could be a little heavier and less sweet.
I was also displeased with the freshness of the herbs that came with the pho. The sprouts weren't white and the basil leaves had some dark patches.
Nevertheless, they do make good quality pho here and I find that rather impressive considering the relative lack of Vietnamese restaurants in Pittsburgh.
