I was craving some bagels after having discovered the rainbow bagels exist in Calgary. Alas they were closed on weekends, so I used my handy dandy yelp app and found this gem! I arrived around 10:30 am and it was quiet with only a few other bagel lovers in line. It seemed I may have missed the morning rush as only poppyseed, cinnamon, blueberry and multigrain were available. The smell of the wood fired stove in the back and the cooking bagels was reason enough to stop in. Grabbing a mix of half a dozen (CASH ONLY), I also ordered a bagel with cream cheese and another with lox (smoked salmon). Once the assembly of my food was done I say down at the provided tables and munched away. Both bagels were delicious, chewy and light. The cream cheese was a plenty and the smoked salmon smoky! Yes I ate both bagels in one sitting and have no regrets! The second wouldn't have lasted the drive home anyways ;) Sitting down I watched as others came and went, there wasn't much to the place aside from the cash, a couple fridges with drinks and another selling now empty trays of smoked salmon and Montreal style meat, and cream cheese. It definitely didn't give the sense that they wanted you to stay longer after buying the bagels. Overall, the bagels are tasty and definitely worth the trip! Although nothing will ever beat the Fairmount Bakery in Montreal ;)
