| - This was formerly Buggy's Diner, they opened in January 2016. Same layout and decor but they amped up on TVs as it's now a sports bar. There's also a large projector screen. By the front, there are 2 dart boards.
Coming here for dinner on a Tuesday night, it was quiet with several men having a drink at the bar and one at a booth. We were greeted by a friendly lone waitress.
Menu is the standard appetizers, wings, burgers, sandwiches and pub favourites. They have 3 South Asian curries that adds a twist! We ordered a buffalo chicken appetizer (deep-fried boneless chicken pieces) in honey garlic sauce ($9), and a beef and Guinness pie (beef stew topped with a flaky pastry, $12). The buffalo chicken was alright, can't go wrong with deep-fried breaded chicken pieces, and the cook served it on a bed of potato wedges by mistake :) The beef pie was a little disappointing. A peppery stew with a hint of Guinness and small pieces of beef, it could be better.
I imagine this place will be popular on a game day or to have a drink with a buddy. The light is too dim for me, my eyes were tired at the end of the meal, but it's good for watching the screens.
2.5 stars for the meal and the friendly server.
