  • Mark Heckman save the day. My boyfriend and I came in looking to furnish our new apartment. Walked around and no one offered to help us. Both of us have anxiety so having for help can be hard sometimes, but we needed an employee. So I ask Paul (a white bald employee) for help with a living room set. He didn't make eye contact while talking to us and proceeded to treat us like broke children (we are in our low 20's.) After failing to take us seriously and failing to answer our questions he just awkwardly walked away from us. I looked at him as he walked away and he didn't stop to see if we still needed him. We continued to look at living room sets, bedroom sets and TVs. I went to look around one last time before we planned to leave. That's when Mark Heckman approached my boyfriend Marcus and offered to help. With his help we picked out everything we needed and he printed out a total of everything. I told him I would be back to pay in a few days. I just needed to make sure the measurements were right. When I returned I looked around for Mark. I forgot get his phone number from Marcus so I asked a blonde employee to call him over. Before she did she tried to push Paul (the rude guy from before to make the sale) I said no. She then calls Mark over the intercom. Immediately after calling him she points out the Paul can help me. I politely said, "no thank you, I'll wait for Mark. He's who I'm working with." After waiting a few more minutes she makes a second call on the intercom. AGAIN she says Paul can take care of me. Now I'm upset but kept it together. I sternly said "no, I'll wait." Two minutes later Mark comes running over. He explains he was waiting for the text message and was enjoying his lunch. I apologized that I lost his number. He was amazing to help finish to sale. When I buy more furniture it'll be from Mark Heckman, no one else! He did a great job!! And shame on the older blonde lady for trying to take away his hard work.
