| - I'll just say - I was not impressed, even a little.
I knew prior to going that it would be a "hole in the wall" place, just given the other reviews, but I didn't expect to eat in what appeared to be a "trailer" add on addition and pay over 100$ for two people. The steak and shrimp were very tasty, however the fish, and all the veggies were not. Specifically we had the broccoli, and asparagus, neither of which were more delectable than a steam fresh bag from my microwave. No seasoning, just bleh. We ended up dipping both in the shrimp scampi sauce to help a little with the flavor.
The other thing that really raked my nerves is that I put a reservation in over a week in advance, and per a friends suggestions - requested a booth (I mean this is a romantic date after all). Once we got there we were told "there are no booths available", and I said, I made this reservation over a week ago and your telling me you couldn't save a booth? The older gentlemen said I would of had to made them weeks if not months in advance to get a booth. OK then. How about you call me, or shoot me an email with this information prior to my arrival? We ended up sitting at a tiny table for two that wasn't even big enough to really hold all of our dinner without shifting other items around.
All in all I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you really want to feel like your paying for high quality food all the while eating at a waffle house. You can get the same quality steak from a number of places in Charlotte, and actually feel like its money well spent.
