| - The price was right, but.... Despite a virtually empty motel, when we checked in (two rooms) in mid-afternoon, we were placed nearly at opposite ends of the motel, though we'd asked for closer rooms for us and our kids. My wife and I were placed in the furthest room, which took 10 minutes of running the sink and shower water at full blast to get any hot water. The "non-smoking" room bedding smelled like tobacco smoke. Next morning, we complained again to the day staffer, who moved us to the first room - much better. Breakfast was definitely austere with no eggs of any kind, no waffle maker, no decaf, no jam for breads, and no actual orange juice. The first day, the breakfast room attendant was cleaning up while we ate, and left the room smelling like strong lysol. There's got to be a better way!
