Vdara definitely provides comfortable accommodations and the nonsmoking no gaming aspect is great for families. Pool is heated and gives you a great free getaway for an hour or two each day.
Downsides include the distance from the strip - it's so close you can see it but requires a trip through Bellagio or Aria to actually get there. Taxis are therefore a must and add up over time. Amenities in the rooms are a little light and the touches are kinda cheap. No name hair products, sandpaper tp, two micro bottles of water per day, all seemed a little sparse given what we paid to stay. Also, even though we were four to a room, the foldout wasn't made and it took a couple days before we got four towels.
Also note that the kitchenette has lots of empty cupboards. No cutlery or plates. Maybe this is standard but made the full kitchenette rather useless. Maybe they would have stocked it at our request...
Overall a nice place to stay which I would stay at again especially now that I know the drill.
