Stumbled across Gold Bar by accident and very excited we did! Here we are on a date night (been married 5 years) and drinking a hot latte while a live band plays in the background while playing dominoes while eating an incredible cherry danish while my wife is looking like the sexiest woman in the entire Phoenix metro area. And to think it was a commercial for Outback Steakhouse that lead our path to this perfect romantic evening! Here's how. But before I tell you, just want to say my latte was excellent, slightly foamy on top and hot. It stayed hot throughout the whole drink. Other coffee places don't know how to set their temperatures properly so I did notice and it was the perfect hotness...like my wife!
So, Outback plays steak and lobster tail commercials. We finally couldn't take it any more and had to go. Friday night became date night at Outback. Outback was delicious! We thought about a movie but non were playing at a convenient time. I suggested Starbucks across the street. On our way but wifey sees Ross and we do need new items for our new apartment. She ended up with a new purse and I got shoes. We notice a coffee shop and Ross cashier tells us it's open till 11:00. We like to do local coffee joints when possible. We walk in and are pleasantly surprised. We see the food, band, super sweet barista, shelf full of games...and the rest is history! We'll be back for sure event though we are not exactly close. I love pie and I saw a fantastic peach pie in the case. I gotta come back for pie! Can we afford Outback and Gold Bar once a week? Perhaps we were lead there for a reason and the Coffee Gods have Gold Bar Espresso very high up on their list!
