  • I came to Scottsdale for a Jim Butcher book signing and found this little gem just a block away from The Poisoned Pen. It's a bizarre little spot with a cozy, but incredibly dark interior and a large outdoor seating area. Good beer selection, reasonable prices, and (to my limited knowledge) the only place like it in downtown Scottsdale. I do wish there was more indoor seating - it's Arizona, I don't want to sit outside ever.
