  • This is a super fun and well run event by the Scottsdale League of the Arts. $65 pp. The premise centers around local hand selected restaurants that embroil in battle to be named "King of the Burger." There were about 20 or so competitors, a full beer lounge and Simplot hosting the French Fry booth. Who can have burgers without fries? Right? There is live entertainment and trust me when I say this, the crowd that attends this event is wound tighter than your garage door springs or a ducks rear in water. I tried to get them to loosen up when the B52s were playing by dancing and having general fun with it. They are so worried about image that they forget their college and fun days. AGE IS JUST A NUMBER!!! Stress kills people and puts those wrinkles on your face that you pay so much to have tightened up. Laughing and living is so much easier... The event is set with a backdrop to the Scottsdale Waterfront and when lit is quite beautiful. The event is a little pricey but where can you get 4 drinks and dinner in Scottsdale for much less?
