rev:text	This was my first trip to Las Vegas and decided to stay at The Mirage and glad that I chose this hotel for this stay. Seeing it over the years in film/media and advertisement I knew I wanted to select this location. Check-In process was easy; however, I was booked in a double queen/non-smoking - but - when she pulled the reservation I was in a king/smoking optional room. She gave me the option for another location (lower floor and not as great a view) as she didn't know why I was assigned that room; however, she told me the room was on the suite level and had a great view of the pool and the strip and if I went to the room and if it was to "smokey" she would ensure I would be able to change. So I stuck with it and was happy - the room didn't smell like smoke at all - great views of both the pool and strip; however, the view is slightly obstructed because of the Beatles Love advertisement over the windows. Hotel staff were very friendly which I was impressed by as in my home location hotel staff is hit or miss. The public areas, restaurants, etc were very clean and enjoyed the smell (as some vegas hotels just smelled awful to me). I also didn't like on the morning of check-out.... we got approved for a late check out of noon vs paying for a 3PM/6PM option; however, 11AM the housekeeping was knocking, turning the handle, keying in. I opened the door and the man just said "just wanted to make sure you were awake" - I didn't like that. Otherwise, I had a fantastic stay and would recommend this location to anyone.
