It's comforting knowing that the sales people at this Dillard's are just nasty and incompetent rather than racist judging from the other poor reviews. It's no wonder it was the Saturday before Christmas and the store was practically empty. Anyway, my husband recently got a new job where he has to dress professionally every day and we were searching for some stylish and comfortable shoes. Saturday evening, we stopped in
We came in through the men's department and looked around. There were two salespeople there - a heavyset middle aged woman and a tall blonde gentlemen who completely ignored us. However, as we were walking away, a woman was walking passed the same two salespeople and they damn near jumped to help this woman who immediately asked "are these shoes on markdown?" So I'm not sure why she deserved to be helped more than we did but I definitely turned around and spoke to both of those salespeople. The man pretended he never saw us even though we locked eyes on more than one occasion and the woman simply asked, "Did we miss you?" Yeah, you missed us and our hard earned dollars which are as good as anyone else's money. Not only did they KNOWINGLY ignore my husband and I but then they tried to deny it when I questioned them about it. I've already emailed Dillard's and I'll be calling tomorrow because it's not okay to treat some customers better than others regardless of whether you THINK we have money or not and if I wanted to be petty I would mention that neither of those salespeople looked like they were swimming in money so I'm not sure where they found the audacity but whatever. I don't have to justify anything so I'm not going to get into what my husband does for a living but we can afford to shop at Dillard's however we chose to take our business down to Macy's where their salespeople were friendly and pleasant.
