I've been a client of Sommet Fitness for 6 years now. The studio is small but beautiful, with a serene Asian-theme decor and mountain views. The trainers at Sommet are concerned with more than just a client's appearance; they are focused on overall functionality. The owner, Steve Vicera (along with his wife, Cherie), is very knowledgable about the human body and all areas of fitness. He strives to keep himself educated on the latest techniques and exercises. When I first started at Sommet, I was 39 years old and was in constant pain after four surgeries on my right knee. I had resigned myself to knee replacement surgery at a too-young age. Over time, I was able to gently built up the strength in my quadricep muscles with the consistent and progressive use of Pilates equipment rather than traditional squats and lunges, which my knee could not handle. Now my knee pain is a fraction of what it had been, and I can avoid knee replacement surgery for the foreseeable future. I wholeheartedly recommend Sommet Fitness and Steve Vicera.
