  • What a difference one person can make. Since the previous shop managers (Joey) departure this shop has been on a steep decline. You always expect an adjustment period when there's a change in management but this is ridiculous. Unfortunately several months later they haven't gotten any better. In fact it's gotten worse. To put my experience in perceptive, on two separate occasions we've dropped off cars and not gotten them back until 2 and 4 days later. What's worse, the one that took 4 days, we had to pick it up because they hadn't worked on it yet. They always claim they are "back up" or "falling behind" that's completely understandable we are all doing more with less. But they have been in the "backed up" and "falling behind" state for several months now. Time to start looking at how the place is being run. In both of the cases that mentioned above, the estimated labor hours for the work was only about 2-6 hours. Why would it take 2-4 days to work on a car and fix something that only took about 3 hours on average? In the first case it took them 2 days to even "get to it". They ask you if you want to wait or if you want to drop it off. It's my understanding that the 'waiters' take precedence over those who drop the vehicle off. While I do understand that logic, there has to be a balance because the impression that I get is that with every waiter that walks through that door pushes the drop offs back further and further. I don't know that this is the case, but the fact is, if you drop off a car and nothing is done to it after 4 days, that doesn't make sense. To put it in an even clearer perspective, it takes two days to diagnose and rebuild a transmission. I know this because I've had to take two cars of my own to AAMCO to get them done. When Joey was there, he didn't even like keeping cars 1 hour past the promised timeline. He didn't like having cars stay more than a day. They way he saw it, the longer a bay was occupied, the longer that bay is keeping the shop from making money. His idea of "backed up" or "falling behind" was that it was going to take 3 hours instead of 1. 6 hours instead of 3. Not 4 days instead of 6 hours. I recommended several people to this place back then. I'll have to call them all and ask them to find another shop because this has been going on far too long and I don't see it improving. I'm giving it two stars because I'm giving the place the benefit of the doubt. Otherwise it would be a solid 1 star right now.
