  • "Can I make a surprise for you?" the sweet ice cream scooper asked us. Say yes if you go! Especially with kids. They turned our single scoop of Kona coffee with dark chocolate chips into a cute piggy, and our double scoop of cotton candy and cookies and cream got an extra little scoop of cookie monster flavor on top to create a little ice cream man. He reminded me a little of "oh no, Mr Bill!" From the old school SNL skit! They told us the ice cream is from Hawaii, I think the brand is Lappert's? I know for sure it's really flavorful and creamy. They were also happy to let us try as many flavors as we liked. I've got my eye on the nuku hiva flavor for our next visit. Coconut pineapple ice cream with brownie pieces and a raspberry sorbet swirl! And a surprise too, of course.
