  • Saw Dr. Okeke years ago with my son as I am his legal guardian. He did not listen at all to me regarding past experiences with antipsychotics, and offered my son $500 if he would go to Mt. Vista Hospital so that he could cure him! I avoid this hospital because HE IS THERE. I checked and he is not at Mt. Vista now. My son is schizophrenic and needed a new Doctor and meds. but, we just got refills (or so I thought), and never went back. He does scripts electronically, and when I went to the pharmacy to pick up meds, he didn't refill venlafaxine er. I called back to fix the error, only to find that Dr. Okeke decided to discontinue cold turkey without discussion, my sons anti-depressant!!!!! I hate e-scripts, but it is worse with a doctor like this who doesn't listen. I don't know what would have happened had I not been able to intervene on my sons behalf, due to the impending withdrawals and brain zaps. This man is dangerous. The girl at the desk wouldn't support me when my Son asked for coffee and I said no. DUH, There is a reason there is no coffee in mental hospitals. BUT, she said that he could have what he wanted...REALLY! What a terrible experience this was. Now it seems like a methadone clinic. Awful
