| - My new favorite ramen obsession!
I don't know why it's taken me forever and a day to eat here. Usually when I go to a ramen place, I measure them by their gyoza and their miso ramen. I actually haven't tried the miso ramen yet here because I've been getting their delicious tsukemen! Their version has a strong fish flavor and reminded me of David Chang's Mind of A Chef where he looks into making bonito in Japan. Their egg is perfectly soft-boiled and the chasu served cold is thick and full of flavor. The noodles are extra thick, firm, and flatter than your normal ramen noodle in order to increase surface area for dipping. My husband has ordered the tonkatsu shoyu, which also has a fishy taste. He enjoyed it and his leftovers were still delicious the next day, which I attribute to the noodles holding up very well. As far as sides go, the gyoza meat was a bit dry, so I probably wouldn't order that again, but the curry rice and the side salad are satisfying and filling. The kimchi fried rice isn't too spicy, which I liked, but may be a turn-off for those who want kimchi fried rice from a Korean restaurant. Their iced green tea is not canned or bottled, which is an extra plus for me. It's only $1.77 too with free refills! (a lot of their pricing ends in .77 cents). To top it all off, they have two TVs that are angled strategically for maximum viewing pleasure and the servers here handle their business efficiently and are very helpful/friendly. I'll be back for more :D
