| - Purchased a new Jeep last year for just under $40k. It was a complete lemon and was back in the shop regularly. On more than one occasion I had to leave the car and come back for it a few days later because they were unable to get around to it.
Earlier , this year I was so frustrated with my almost new 2014 Wrangler Unlimited , I traded it for a new 2015 $50k Wrangler JK Unlimited with all the bells and whistles..with Larry H Miller. Initiall it seemed a much better vehicle but soon issues such as pulling to the left, horrendous wind noise, blown steering stabilisers, drive shaft needing replacement, rattles, suspension collapsing and so car leaning to the right, and all sorts of other issues came to light.
The local dealer (We are from out of town) was somewhat helpful and fixed a few things for us but Larry H Miller has been really slack when it came to service and getting either of our brand new and expensive Jeep's sorted.
I booked in advance and took the car in three weeks ago for a full service and to fix some issues including collapsed suspension. (car has already had a new drive shaft and various rattles and issues sorted locally).
They rang later that day to say they were backed up and that they would not be able to get it in for a few days even to look at it. Really? Then why I asked did I bother to book it in, over a week in advance? Mike Veselik's answer (rudely) was that they have plenty of cars in the shop for a week or more because they are so backed up and that booking only gets you a place in line. Not an actual appointment. Again, Really?
By way of comparison, my experience with Penske in Scottsdale for my wife's Audi has been so superior to the nonsense at this dealership, that they make Larry H Miller service look like a bunch of cowboys.
After almost two weeks in the shop they "fixed" a collapsed suspension coil (car leaning to the right by 1 1/2 inches) by installing a 1 inch spacer instead of replacing the coil (or upgrading the Fox Coils) and they neglected to service the car at all.
Finally, at a loss of almost $40k betwen the two cars in the last year but having had quite enough of both the poor quality Jeep product and the awful service, I traded the car out for a different brand of vehicle over the weekend. After this experience I would not touch another Jeep or buy anything from Larry H Millar again.
There are lots of good dealers out there but Larry H Millar, Avondale is not one of them.
