  • Dino's was sent out by the extended warranty company that whirlpool uses. My microwave had an error code temporarily, but the issue was gone before their tech got out. The tech couldn't duplicate the code, so he recommended that the door be replaced because it was a condensation issue on the door and touchscreen panel. This is where it gets bad. The tech replaced the door, but before he fully installed the door and secured all the wires he decided to test it to see if it was working and he arced and fried the entire unit. I say this because he admitted to me that he did it. After this they came out multiple times to try and fix my unit, but couldn't fix it. Please be aware my unit made an error code once, but was fully operable when their tech came out. But wasn't reparable after they left. I tried to get a time table from them on the repair and asked for a loaner unit They would never give me a timetable of when it would be resolved and refused to get me a loaner unit. They told the warranty company that unit wasn't fixable and the warranty company gave me significantly less than what I paid for the unit ($1500, +taxes and another $150 for a five year warranty). We had the unit since August of 2013 and they fried out unit on 12/31/2014. The unit was expensive because it also had a convection oven and is 2.3 cuft. The warranty offered us $400 to replace the unit. When I spoke with the owner all he said he could do was refer me to a wholesaler that he works with that had more expensive prices than any of the major box boxes. When I asked him if he could help with the difference he refused. I once spoke with his son on the phone and he told cursed at me and said to stop calling. I finally got a new microwave on 2/23/2015 and when they took the old microwave out from the corner the tech had set it in my dinning room he cracked the tile. I was more upset about the way the situation was handled. All the owner told me was that he lost money on job because of all of the parts he had to order and all of the trips his tech had to take, but never seemed to care that I lost money and time too. I wouldn't recommend this company as other people on my block have had issues with them as well because they had the same warranty I have.
