| - My fiancé and I had been here once before about 3 months ago, stumbling upon it during happy hour. What a delight! Cheap drink and eats however don't think cheap as in quality. Low priced yes! However the small plates were absolutely delicious!!! Service was attentive and friendly. Relaxing atmosphere and the ambience was perfect. Such an unexpected yet great evening that we agreed to return for an actual dinner.
Fast forward to tonight where we returned for dinner. Holy cow. Again, so pleasant from the moment we walked in. Hostess greeted us, asked if we wanted to sit inside or out. Now it was about 105 degrees at 7:15 however the misters, other folks sitting outside and the live music made us want to be out there too. Glad we did. Musicians took requests and were just awesome. However I'm a huge music fan so the fact that they were able to play George Benson and Al Jarreau did it for me. And live music on a Tuesday?? Score!
Moving on to service. Excellent. I wish I remembered his name but our server was great in every way. Attentive and friendly. Was able to elaborate on dishes we had questions about.
Entrees: my fiancé had the tilapia with jalapeño creamed corn and chipotle mashed potatoes. Good lord!!!! That corn is probably one of the tastiest side dishes I've tried in a while, so flavorful! However I didn't detect any jalapeño or spice. Yet soooooo good and worth trying.
I had the special of the night which was a chicken dish, the name evades me. Chicken stuffed with apricot and other delicious goodness. Paired with arroz and black beans. Oh my!!!! Such flawless flavor! I am not a fan of salt. I prefer flavor. Fuego comes through with the flavor, not the salt! Give this hidden gem a try. You'll be glad you did. Perfect for a romantic date night. It's such a casual place yet the food, staff/service, water fountains, umbrellas, misters and music turn it into a worth visiting! I'm an official fan and plan to return again and again
