  • Five stars for Science on the Rocks! It never disappoints. We go when there's a theme night we enjoy. The latest I attended was In a Galaxy Far Far Away. That's right Star Wars night. So Science on the Rocks is basically one Friday night a month for those over 21. Special activities are set up according to the theme. You can also purchase drinks at various locations during the event, alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Usually there's also one special alcoholic drink that goes with the theme for free. So this time it was Yoda's Soda which was like a lime slushie with vodka. You can also purchase food like sandwiches, snacks and cupcakes. Admission also includes the newest exhibit and for $5 you can add the Imax. The Da Vinci exhibit right now is one of my favorites. I learned so much about his inventions and really enjoyed looking at the artwork. The Imax was Amazon Adventure which I also highly recommend. This one has more of a movie feel than documentary and you learn about some new species form. Now the activities are the best. We got to build cup droids and try to get them to draw. We made slime and Star Wars ornaments. I learned to sword fight. My husband made and shot an air rocket. I also wanted to karaoke, but it was a pretty long wait by the time I got to it. We can't wait for the next one!
